(DC) CMEP at the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice 2027
This fall, 1,800+ faith-justice advocates and more than 100 Jesuit and other Catholic institutions will gather at the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ)—and we are excited for the Catholic Advisory Council of Churches for Middle East Peace to be among them!
In addition, we hope you will join us for:
Breakout Session 3 | Sunday, November 15th 1:15-2:00 PM
A Call to Solidarity: A Palestinian Catholic Priest Reports from Taybeh with Fr. Bashar Fawadleh and CAC members Jordan Denari Duffner and Julie Schumacher Cohen. As Palestinians face ongoing violence and injustices in Gaza and the West Bank, Fr. Bashar Fawadleh, a Palestinian Catholic priest, will offer a view from the besieged town of Taybeh and the broader West Bank. The session will then offer concrete ways that Jesuit students and schools can speak out, advocate, and pray for Palestinian freedom and a better future for Israelis and Palestinians alike, guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
