Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) is excited to be partnering with Sustainable Employment, Resources, Rights and a Vision of Hope International (SERRV) to uplift the work of artisans and craftspeople in Palestine, Israel and across the Middle East. SERRV is one of the world’s first fair trade organizations, founded in 1949 after World War II to help displaced European refugees earn income by trading their handcrafts. Today, SERRV supports more than 7,000 artisans and farmers each year by marketing and selling their handcrafts and foods. CMEP is partnering with SERRV to elevate Middle East artisans to our constituents. In addition to contributing to economic empowerment and opportunity for artisans in the region, this project also allows constituents to simultaneously financially support CMEP.
