EDUCATE | ELEVATE | ADVOCATE

Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) uses three primary strategies to encourage U.S. policies that promote a just peace:

Educate: CMEP serves its coalition members and the broader US Christian community by providing opportunities to learn about the Middle East and a holistic approach to advocating for peace. These opportunities include speaking events across the U.S.; Pilgrimage to Peace (P2P) – CMEP’s domestic awareness tours with speaker from Israel, the Palestinian territories, and the broader Middle East; multi-narrative trips to the region; and resources for churches and small groups.

Elevate: CMEP serves to elevate voices of our coalition communions and organizations – Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and Evangelical; and Israeli, Palestinian, and Middle Eastern peace activists who are advocating for equality, human rights, security, and justice for all people in the Middle East.

Advocate: CMEP serves to provide opportunities for individuals, groups, churches, and communions to advocate for just U.S. policies toward the Middle East through raising constituent voices; Hill and Government meetings; and Advocacy Summits.
