Solidarity Sunday Resources

Beginning with a call to action to churches on July 21st, 2024, Churches for Middle East Peace encourages those in our networks to incorporate calls for peace and justice in the Holy Land into their Sunday worship services. To help with this, we have compiled a number of resources for building and shaping liturgies. Since then, we offered a second Solidarity Sunday on October 6th and plan to maintain regular rhythms of these calls to action from our church communities.

Resources included to help you shape your services include:

  • Prayers

  • Videos from Christian Leaders in the Holy Land

  • Music

  • Graphics

  • Action Steps

You can use any of these materials to build meaningful worship in solidarity for your community. If you so choose, CMEP’s Programs and Outreach Manager, Destiny Magnett, has also compiled several draft liturgy outlines for your use. We recognize that each of our denominations, and each individual church, will have different orders of services and needs, but hope that these might be helpful starting points as you craft your services. These can be found under “Liturgy Templates” after accessing our resources below.

Solidarity Sunday services can be planned anytime.
