Dr. Avram is also the Emeritus Senior Pastor of Pinnacle Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has served as Assistant Professor of Communication at Yale Divinity School and as Chaplain of Bates College. His 40-year experience with the Middle East is informed by experiences with the Middle East Council of Churches and study at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Interfaith Academy of Peace at Tantur. He is the editor of Anxious About Empire: Theological Essays on the New Global Realities (2006).\n
