Grassroots advocacy is at the heart of our work. Taking our call to be peacemakers and our passion for justice for both Palestinians and Israelis, CMEP helps individuals and local groups advocate in a knowledgeable, timely, balanced, and effective way to press their concerns about justice and peace for all peoples in the region.
To support grassroots activists CMEP identifies, recruits and supports local leaders and leading churches or local organizations to engage other Christians concerned about peace with justice in the Holy Land.
CMEP’s organizing work has two primary areas: Coordinators (individuals) and Partners (churches/organizations).
Regional Coordinators are individual local leaders in specific geograpic areas who support, educate, and motive local groups and individuals to engage in advocacy for peace in the Middle East in response to CMEP’s calls for action. We currently have Regional Coordinators in:
- New Jersey
- North Carolina
- Washington and Oregon
If you live in another area or would like to work with a coordinator in your area please contact CMEP at info(at)cmep.org or 202-543-1222.
Partners are local congregations, religious orders, church-related organizations, regional church bodies, peace and justice committees, women’s groups or peace fellowships that have an intentional and recognized relationship with CMEP. Click here to learn more about partnering with CMEP.
