Advocacy Conference - 2011

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the annual CMEP advocacy conference this year May 22-24, 2011 and to all of you who made it possible.

We had more than 200 people participate in the conference this year, the largest conference CMEP has ever had and an incredible show of support for a just, sustainable, and secure peace!

83 Conference activities included three plenary sessions, ten workshop sessions, a screening of "Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer:  A Pilgrimage to the Heart of an Ancient Spirituality" and a screening of the Just Vision film, Budrus.

CMEP supporters and conference participants had lobby meetings with 98 congressional offices, thanks in large part to the efforts of conference participants from across the country. Advocates carried a message of about the urgent need for U.S. leadership toward a just secure and sustainable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on a day when this issue was in the spotlight. Rev. Gradye Parsons began our day at the Congressional Prayer Breakfast.
